WHAT IS EMDR THERAPY?
 

When we encounter challenging events, our brains may struggle to process the associated memories fully. This can lead to distressing symptoms like anxiety, depression, or PTSD, as well as negative beliefs about ourselves or the world around us.

During an EMDR session, you'll be guided to focus on these troubling memories while engaging in simple, repetitive movements or sounds (called bilateral stimulation).

This process helps your brain reprocess the memory and associated negative beliefs, gradually making them less distressing and less influential in your life.

What sets EMDR apart is its straightforward approach and proven effectiveness. Research has demonstrated its ability to significantly reduce symptoms related to trauma, anxiety, depression, and more, while also addressing negative cognitions and limiting beliefs.
